We only look like young stars
Because you can’t see old scars.

Taken from the TV show Daisy Jones and the Six, based on the novel of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Line(s) of the Day #Reacher

You know, Reacher, when I found out you were wandering the Earth with nothing but what you could carry in your pockets… I thought you’d lost your mind. But there’s a part of me that thinks you’re the only one of us that’s got it all figured out.

David O’Donnell (Shaun Sipos) in Reacher, the popular TV adaption of the Jack Reacher series. Written by English author Lee Child, the series covers 28 books and a short story collection, featuring Reacher as a former Major in the United States military police corps who relishes his new life as a drifter.

Things to See: Museo de Cera

I wanted to share these photos from a previous trip to the Museo de Cera in Mexico City. With over 200 celebrity wax figures in the fields of art, music, politics, horror, sport and children’s characters you are more than covered.

Set in an old mansion in the Cuathemoc region, the museum was opened in 1979. It has 14 separate exhibit rooms, including a mix of Mexican politicians and historical figures among the more recognised figures.

So if you’re in Mexico City and want to see wax figures of everyone from Frieda Kahlo and The Beatles to Steve Jobs and Sponge Bob SquarePants, you know where to go.

Gr8at: #AsherPerlman

I’m a big fan of New Yorker cartoonist Asher Perlman. He’s my favourite current cartoonist and his incisive wit really makes me laugh. With the recent release of “Well, This is Me: A Cartoon Collection from The New Yorker’s Asher Perlman” I thought I’d share eight of his best. Well, okay, nine. I just couldn’t leave one out.

Line(s) of the Day ‘KnowYourOnion!

But when they’re parking their cars on your chest
You’ve still got a view of the summer sky

Taken from the song ‘Know Your Onion!’ from the album Oh, Inverted World (2001) by Albuquerque artist The Shins.

Line(s) of the Day #PaulMerton

“I used to go out with a giraffe. Used to take it to the pictures and that. You’d always get some bloke complaining that he couldn’t see the screen. It’s a giraffe, mate. What do you expect? ‘Well he can take his hat off for a start!’”

“The first Underground station ever opened was Baker Street in 1906. What was the point of that? Where would you go?”

“I think Iran and Iraq had a war simply because their names are so similar. They keep getting each other’s post.”

Have some one liners from English comedian Paul Merton (1957 – ), well known for his TV and radio appearances on shows such as Have I Got News for You, Room 101 and Just a Minute.

Line(s) of the Day #TheCrown

That’s the thing about unhappiness. All it takes is for something worse to come along and you realize it was actually happiness after all.
