My trip to Rome with Madeleine was so delightful that I was inspired to do two quizzes on Italy’s contribution to cinema, both by talented cast and crew, as well as its picturesque beauty. Will you do better than Part 1? As always, the stills are in chronological order, with the decade it was released in brackets. I’m always keen to hear how you do. and whether you have a favourite.

1. Ladri di Biciclette (1948) – The Bicycle Thieves
2. A Room with a View (1985)
3. Only You (1994)
4. La vita è bella (1997) – Life is Beautiful
5. The Talented Mr Ripley (1999)
6. Under the Tuscan Sun (2003)
I got three!
Not bad. Hope you have a very cool weekend 🙂
Only You–never saw it. Gosh, look how young Downey Jr. looks!
It’s an enchanting film. The main leads are so charming. No surprise they both had high profiles after.
Only got 4 this time! The Bicycle Thieves is probably one of my favourite films of all time!
It is sooooo moving. Such a great film. Great overall score. You should try and see Only You if you haven’t. Such a charming film.
I got three, Alex! I love your quizzes (and the films “The Bicycle Thief,” “Room with a View,” and “The Talented Mr. RIpley.”)
Actually, I didn’t identify “The Talented Mr. Ripley” in your quiz but I did recognize the still-shot of “Life is Beautiful” (which I’ve yet to see). Should I see it?
I’d recommend Life Is Beautiful. Good film. 🙂
It’s a really different take on the horrors of war and how people survive it. I really would recommend it. Thanks for the kind words too.
Yes! I got all except number two. I’m good at these! 😉
That is the hardest one. The picture reflects the title but it doesn’t give you much detail. Great score. You’re an Italian whizz 🙂
Well I did name my blog after an Italian movie, I suppose. Lol 🙂
Ha! I suppose you did.
got 4 (in my defense, never saw the first two) 🙂
Good score. The first is a masterpiece if you get the chance.
Nope! I’m useless… *sulks*
Only You is a lovely romantic film if you get the chance. The chemistry between the two main leads are delightful.
3/5. 😊
Not too bad. If you calculate your results in all the quizzes you have one of the top averages.
