Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner in the thought-provoking science fiction film Arrival (2016). Based on the short story “Story of Your Life” by Ted Chiang, it tells of a linguistic professor who who is in charge of communicating with beings who have landed from another planet.
Like that! If you don’t speak your mind nobody else will know you on a deeper level.
True! It’s a wonderful film too.
A beautiful line you have chosen from a wonderful movie. It’s a refreshing take on ‘an Alien movie’ and I liked how it focused on the character’s too. It was a quiet but captivating movie.
Captivating is the word. It was a shame it got so ignored at the Oscars.
Love it…. I am still not sure if Fate determines our action (hence Life). I believe in freedom & the choices we make in our lives too… But at times, I believe that what happens is what is meant to be. Great quote 😀

If I spoke my mind and hearr more, I’m pretty sure I get punched in the face a lot. Ha ha. Well chosen quote
The more honest you are the more people will like you. Or should ha.

A real thought provoking film in the best way. Amy Adams was the soulful, beating heart of it.
She was. Surprised she wasn’t nominated. And I love films based on short stories. I wish more were.
I love Amy Adams. She says so much with her eyes.
