You don’t need to be a superhero to get the girl. The right girl will bring out the hero in you.
Wade Wilson / Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) in the action comedy superhero Deadpool (2016). The wise-cracking eponymous character is hell-bent on finding the man who made him a superhero with drastic consequences.
A charming and truthful quote I must say..though I wouldn’t want to know where he’s been hiding that ring. Ahem.
He makes that same joke actually! It’s all kinds of edgy humour. Not a PG film for sure. Ryan Reynolds said that it was going to be. But he said that on 1 April so not everyone realised he was joking.
Ah..it all makes sense now.
Nice quote.
Well chosen. 😎
Thanks. It’s full of adult humour so it’s actually the sweetest line in the film.
I’ll have to check the film out. I remember seeing previews for it. Really glad you liked it
Love ❤️ that line though…
Men always try to be super heroes anyways
I wasn’t expecting that line at all. Especially from the main character. Films where people without superpowers try to become superheroes are usually worth a watch. Mystery Men and Kick-Ass come to mind.
Hahahaha..
yep 👍
A bit of a cliche, don’t you think?
I thought it more a nice turn of a phrase. I suppose it’s all in the interpretation. That’s the beauty of language and opinions x
You might see it as a cliche, but I just saw it as one moment of sweetness amid all the organised chaos, in-jokes and quick-fire action. After all he’d been through, was the one moment of growth. Can’t wait for the sequel.
It was actually a rhetorical question
Yeah that is such a good one and also very true (and romantic), got to love it when Deadpool bring out his charm.
He’s impossible to resist. He even won over the moody teen. Ha. Those opening credits are so funny. Can’t wait to see the sequel.
Me too!!
Bring on 2018!
I watched this and cringed at some of the raunchy while chuckling under my breath. I was surprised it got nominated for awards but did feel Ryan Reynolds proved he could deliver his lines and look mature as a superhero. Nicely chosen, Alex. Smiles, Robin
So many hilarious bad taste jokes. Would be fun to see how many jokes and references they made in total. It reminded me of Ted.
I think someone, somewhere has counted the jokes. This was a fun movie, which you are right~ Ted was pretty close to the level of raunch. The spell check keeps adding a “y” to the word. I didn’t catch it the first time.
Fun, naughty but not awful were The Wedding Crashers, Monster in Law, The Other Woman and Spies. Although over the top, there was something touching about the end of Trainwreck. The love choice of nerdy Bill Hader was sweet. Anyway, take it easy, Alex! 🙂
That must be a funny way of watching a film. There are so many suerhero movies out at the moment always happy when something like this, Ant-Man or Kick-Ass do something very different.
A really good quote, you chose really effective ones Alex.
Thanks dude. So many places they can take the character. I’m glad Ryan Reynolds finally got a great superhero outing worthy of him.
Yes, he really showed himself as a fun actor here.
I’d forgotten about his previous superhero outings which says it all for me. I can’t imagine anyone else playing him.
This is one of his best roles.
One of my Top 5 from last year.
Wait’ll ya see Deadpool 2
Can’t wait!
