Line(s) of the Day #TheMatrix

Morpheus The Matrix

What is real? How do you define ‘real’? If you’re talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then ‘real’ is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.

Morpheus (Samuel L Jackson) in the iconic sci-fi action film The Matrix (1999), famous for “bullet time” and its view of a simulated reality.

  1. I can’t help but think that this movie is a masterpiece.
You can’t deny that everything makes sense in it; you can’t deny the matrix (not that I think we’re in an actual matrix or whatsoever).

I liked how the lines were all coherent to the movie. There are also some pretty epic scenes: ‘the spoon doesn’t exist’,’follow the white rabbit’,or ‘human beings are a virus’ (which Agent Smith said and which was very sensible).

  2. A great quote to be sure. One of my other favorites is “How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call?”

  3. Great post and a great quote! The first time I watched this film, this line gave me goosebumps. It is such an excellent movie.
