What is real? How do you define ‘real’? If you’re talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then ‘real’ is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.
Morpheus (Samuel L Jackson) in the iconic sci-fi action film The Matrix (1999), famous for “bullet time” and its view of a simulated reality.
I can’t help but think that this movie is a masterpiece.
You can’t deny that everything makes sense in it; you can’t deny the matrix (not that I think we’re in an actual matrix or whatsoever).
I liked how the lines were all coherent to the movie. There are also some pretty epic scenes: ‘the spoon doesn’t exist’,’follow the white rabbit’,or ‘human beings are a virus’ (which Agent Smith said and which was very sensible).
It really was an astonishing film. I didn’t realise they were involved with V for Vendetta but it makes sense really.
A great quote to be sure. One of my other favorites is “How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call?”
So many lines I could have chosen. I can still remember the excitement when I was on my way to the cinema to see it.
Great quote from a great movie. Yes, it is a masterpiece.
It really is. Have a great weekend dude.
I think you meant to quote Laurence Fishburne instead of Samuel L. Jackson in this seminal film.
It is Samuel L Jackson in the film. It’s not just you though. It’s even referenced in the first series of TV show Extras https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Extras_episodes
Great post and a great quote! The first time I watched this film, this line gave me goosebumps. It is such an excellent movie.
I so need to see it again. Really blew me away when I saw it at the cinema. Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to suggest any other lines that stood out for you.
