Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.
Edgar Degas (1834 – 1917), regarded as one of the founders of impressionism and especially applauded for his talent in capturing movement in his paintings.

How in the world did you know I was thinking of him today? Freaky…
Great minds…
Very nice. π
Artists do think different for sure. And it can be wonderful.
I like Degas when he paints ballerinas in pink. They remind me of my childhood classes and my oldest daughter who loved wearing her ballerina outfit. He looks so different from the other impressionistic artists! Thanks, Alex:)
That he does. I’m glad his paintings provide you with such nice memories π
I love a lot of his work, really draws you in.
What other artists do you really like?
Vermeer, Rembrandt and Monet. There are so many more .
Vermeer and Rembrandt are great choices. I’ve been lucky to see their work up close. As for Monet, I think he puts it better than I do π
