Veronica Rawlings: We got to start thinking like professionals. We’re in business together. There’s not going to be some cosy reunion. After this job, we’re done. We have three days to look and move like a team of men. The best thing we have going for us is being who we are.
Alice Gunner: Why?
Veronica Rawlings: Because no one thinks we have the balls to pull this off.
Viola Davis and Elizabeth Debicki in the super impressive heist film Widows (2018). Helmed by Steve McQueen, it features a tour-de-force ensemble cast and a sharp script based on a 1983 TV series by Lynda La Plante.
I waffle between seeing this or Green Book. I guess I’ll have to see both! Thanks for reminding me how much I love Viola Davis.
I don’t know much about Green Book but really would recommend this. A fantastic premise, sharp dialogue, well-rounded and believable characters, plenty of twists and fine acting.
I appreciate your review. I mentioned Green Book because in the states they are shown side by side as choices to see.
Have had a look. Green Book looks good too actually 🙂
Such an exciting moment
It was. I know the line comes later in the film but didn’t want to show any spoilers. Such a great feeling when you watch a really finely crafted film.
