There was so much to see at the Design Museum’s celebration of the works of Stanley Kubrick 20 years after his passing, that one post was never going to be enough to cover all the fantastic stuff inside.
Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) in the horror phenomenon The Shining (1980). Famously based on a Stephen King novel, it tells of an aspiring writer and recovering alcoholic who starts to lose his sanity amidst the confines of an isolated hotel.
I haven’t created any film quizzes for a while, so it’s definitely time for a new one. I have been reading a lot recently, so the idea of writers on screen seemed an apt choice for the current post. No need to remember the name of the ficitonal writer involved, but can you guess the films below? Feedback as already welcome.
I’ve been extremely busy so haven’t been to the cinema much or reviewed many films recently, but I’m not letting that get in the way of another quiz. Christmas has gone, the New Year and Epiphany too, but it’s still Winter. And that means for most of us it’s still pretty cold. And for more than a few of us that can mean snow, a type of weather that’s been represented in all kind of non-Christmas films.
