Gr8at: JMW Turner

The first art exhibition I remember going to was of Joseph Mallord William Turner, and it’s no surprise he’s long been one of my favourite artists. Gifted with oil, watercolour, etching or even a simple draft , Turner was a huge success in his lifetime and his popularity has never come close to fading. Inspired by going to the Turner and the Sea exhibition¬†at the national Maritime Museum (and expect more on that soon), I’ve decided it’s time for a Gr8at on one of Britain’s greatest ever painters.
