I watched Casablanca again recently. It’s obvious why it’s considered one of the definitive classics. It got me thinking what other really awesome one word films there are. Turns out, more than you might realise. How many did you get? Any others you like that aren’t on the list?

Line(s) of the Day #Inception

Inception film.jpg

Dreams feel real while we’re in them. It’s only when we wake up that we realize something was actually strange.

Dominic Cobb (Leonardo Di Caprio) in the brilliantly thought-provoking science fiction heist film Inception (2010). Directed by Christopher Nolan, the film won four Academy Awards, raked in over $820 million and is considered a hugely imaginative modern masterpiece. I’m a huge fan of the English writer/director. You can also find other films of his on my blog, with The Dark Knight, Memento and The Prestige.

Film Quizzes: Memory Loss Part 1

I was watching a forgotten gem of a film, 1942’s Random Harvest, that tells of a couple during World War 2 who must fall in love again after he loses his memory in an accident. The recent release of Hollywood thriller, Before I go to Sleep, about a married woman who cannot remember anything after a serious accident, shows the demand is still there. How will you do in Part 1? And no points for saying you can’t remember any of them 😉

You know, I’ve had more rewarding friendships than this one. Although I do get to keep telling the same jokes.
