I added some animal ice statues photography in my previous post, but really the main attraction of the Ice Kingdom at Winter Wonderland was using A Christmas Carol theme. The story of Scrooge’s redemption through the use of three ghosts (well four if you include Jacob Marley) needs no introduction.

Gr8at: #IceStatues at #WinterWonderland Part 1
I just love ice statues. Especially the ones in Winter Wonderland. They’re so creative and magical, with the lights adding that ethereal touch. Using 500 tonnes of sculptured ice and snow, this year’s theme was a wintry forest, filled with animals including wolves, unicorns and bears. In the first of two posts, please enjoy the display.

I’ve always liked ferris wheels, especially after watching the pivotal scene in The Third Man. So if you like what you see above, why not check out this shot from the same event last year, this photo from Leicester SquareĀ or the famous Prater Wheel in Vienna.
Gr8at: #MagicalIceKingdom
I’ve already reviewed Winter WonderlandĀ but just had to dedicate a seperate post for the ice statues. I’ve always seen them as the highlight of my visit, and have posted about them in previous years. And this year’s effort, with the Deep Sea Adventure theme, did not disappoint. Here are my favourites.
Things to See: #WinterWonderland
Running for 10 years, Winter Wonderland is a delightful way to celebrate the magical splendour of Christmas. Starting from 7 December, it takes over Hyde Park with attractions including food and toy stalls, rollercoasters and rides, ice statues and an ice rink and ferris wheel.

The striking 60m Giant Observation Wheel at the seaonal festive attraction, Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. I’ve always liked ferris wheels and included previous efforts in my blog. This is theĀ one from Leicester Square, and the two from Vienna areĀ here and here.
Travel/Photography:Wilde Maus Rollercoaster
Taken before going on the Wilde Maus rollercoaster in Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. The eccentric mix of lights and angles meant I just had to take this.
