Line(s) of the Day #EternalLife

And as your fantasies are broken in two
Did you really think this bloody road
Would pave the way for you?

Taken from the song Eternal Life by Jeff Buckley from his debut album Grace (1994). Buckley had one of the most gentle, ethereal voices ever recorded and is who I would most like to sound like when I sing.

Jeff Buckley - Grace

I’m lying in my bed
The blanket is warm
This body will never be safe from harm
Still feel your hair, black ribbons of coal
Touch my skin to keep me whole

The opening lines of Mojo Pin, the first song from Jeff Buckley’s debut album Grace (1994). Buckley’s tragic death at the age of 30 robbed us all of hearing more of his gifted musician who had a heavenly voice. I covered this album as part of a feature here.
