Following on from my Christian Dior post a few days ago, I thought I’d share a few more in the form of a montage, especially as a total of 594,994 people visited the Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams, a record for a V&A exhibition.
I don’t normally reference fashion (save perhaps for Fashion and Art at The Chocolate Show and Film Quizzes: Stylish and Iconic Female Outfits) but I had to share these photos from The Christian Dior Exhibition at the V&A. Are you a big fan of Dior? Have you been to the V&A? They do great exhibitions, including the Pink Floyd one last year.
I quoted Charlie Brown recently, with a photo from the very fun exhibition at Somerset House, Good Grief,Charlie Brown! But i just had to add some more to give you a sense of how great it was to see the Charles M. Schulz’s characters brought to life again.

The photograph is from Good Grief, Charlie Brown!, an exhibition at the Embankment Galleries at Somerset House, featuring original Peanuts cartoons as well as work from other artists inspired by the cartoon itself. There are always so many great exhibitions and events at Canary Wharf. I’ve covered some in the past, including the Rememberance Art Trail and a specialist flower sculpture, as well the 2017 Winter Lights. So I just had to share my photos of the 2018 Winter Lights, starting with the indoor shots.
Is there a more important and more influential individual in music than Elvis Presley? ‘The King’ had everything. Looks, charm, sex appeal, the most wonderful voice and a love of music that always shone through. John Lennon himself said The Beatles would have never existed without him. That’s why demand was so strong for another Elvis exhibition at the 02, only two years after the last one. I’ve displayed quite a few photographic exhibitions in the past, such as this year’s National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year and Astronomy Photographer of the Year. But I do try try and show photographic events I’ve been to in person too. So it’s no real surprise I’ve added a third post to parts 1 and 2 of my time at the Enchanted Woodland at Syon Park. As always feel free to let me know if there were any in particular that caught your eye.
I went to the delightful Enchanted Woodland at Syon Park yesterday. It was really was magical with sumptious and imaginative light displays. I took so many photos I’m going to put this in two parts. Is there one photo in particular that stands out to you? Has your lcoal area got into the same spirit?
Star Wars is a phenomenon that shows no sign of abating. Ever since its introduction with A New Hope in 1977 it has blown audiences away with its fantasy charm, good v evil battles, memorable heroes, sinister villains and, in the lightsabre, the best weapon ever. Even its recent spin-off was a huge smash. So when I saw there was an exhibition entitled Star Wars Identities at the 02 featuring over 200 props, models, costumes and artwork, I just had to go. Tosha Michelle who was in town, came along for the ride.
