I’ve always loved photography, either taking them myself or seeing them in exhibitions. So when I saw The Guardian’s latest photography awards, I just had to post my favourite ones here. It’s focused on the beauty and diversity within the British landscape, with categories including Living the View, Classic View and Your View. Feel free to share your favourite or try and guess which was the overall winner.
When I saw the winners of the National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year had been announced, I knew there would be some outstanding images of the natural world around us. The categories were Natures, Cities and People. Below are eight of my favourites, sourced from The Daily Telegraph. You can find out more about the winners, prizes and the high calibre of other entries at The National Geographic website.
An awards post now. My thanks to the ever awesome Vinnie who continues to entertain, educate and impress on his stylish blog, for the nomination. You should definitely hop on over if you haven’t already.
I’ll have to skip the 11 fun facts for reasons of time, but I’ll happily answer Vinnie’s questions and provide my own for nominees.
I’ve been included in the very awesome Abbi’s Christmas-themed ‘Season’s Greetings’ post. Abbi has a super fantastic blog and I really recommend you go and take a visit if you don’t know her blog already.
A big milestone for my blog as I just found out that I just passed 1,000 posts. I just wanted to thank you all for your continued interest and support. One of the great joys of setting up this blog has been interacting with you guys and seeing how your own sites have evolved.
It’s always nice to be recognised within the bloggersphere, especially as there so many great blogs out there. I fell a bit behind with these awards so I’ve stuck to eight blog nominees for the first three awards.
