Now, as Stanley lay on his cot, he thought it was kind of funny in a way. Nobody had believed him when he said he was innocent. Now, when he said he stole them, nobody believed him either.
As said in the 1998 book Holes by Louis Sachar. It tells of Stanley Yelnats who has to adapt when sent to a correctional facility in Texas after being accused of stealing a pair of valuable trainers.
I remember reading Holes when I was in school. My class wrote a letter to the author and he actually wrote back. He was really nice and he tolds us he had a cameo in the movie. He was the bald man that Sam sold onion juice to.
I was wondering whether to see the film. There’s a lot packed into the book for sure. I can see it being a good movie.
It’s honestly one of the best live action Disney movies I’ve ever seen. They really do justice to the story and all of its subplots.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it so much. I’ll have to look into it for sure.
