Film Quizzes: #JoelSchumacher #EnnioMorricone

Since my last film quiz on con artists, there have been two sad losses in Hollywood, that of the American director Joel Schumacher (1939 – 2020) and of Italian composer Ennio Morricone (1928). Starting off as a costume designer Schumacher started submitting scripts before he broke into Hollywood and having a wide array of successful films. Morricone is most associated with the so-called ‘spaghetti westerns’, but had a hugely varied nd successful St career in film and television.

    • The 80s had so many classics in that vein. Stand By Me, The Karate Kid, Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller. I do like Amadeus a lot, and Field of Dreams. Die Hard would probably win though, just!

      • You nailed down all the best ones! At the tail end of the decade When Harry Met Sally came out and made me fall for Harry Connick Jr. I loved that movie too. Lots of favorites from the 80s.

      • Yeah that’s a great shout. Such a fun romcom. Can you imagine how fun it would be to go that restarant? It’s actually exists and you can order too.
