The heat has been sweltering the last few days. Seriously, seriously, hot. So following on from my recent Scorching Hot Weather Quiz I’ve chosen my eight favourite songs from a place that knows all about sunshine. Have you heard them all before? Nice collection, Alex. Love Jim Morrison and Red Hot Chili Peppers the best from your list. 🙂 Was in London last week and the weather was great! As we were leaving, there was talk in the hotel lobby that a heatwave was a-coming.
Ha! Shame we didn’t meet. Yes, lot of great songs from both. And I couldn’t even get The Beach Boys in the list.

Love the variety. Three immediately came to mind when I saw the title of the post – California Dreamin’, Hotel California, and (believe it or not) San Francisco. The Chili Peppers actually have another that I like better than Californication – Dani California!
Yeah that’s a really good one. I really like Other Side too. Great video too. One of the few songs I could play on the guitar before I gave it up.

Californication is already up there, but great shout on the others. Katy Perry was in the original draft, and The Beach Boys too. So many good ones. I could have easily added yours and made a second list.
