Line(s) of the Day #GavinAndStacey

Nessa

“Don’t get me wrong, but to be honest, at the end of the day, when all’s said and done… do you know what I mean?”

Nessa (Ruth Jones) in the charming British comedy Gavin and Stacey (2008 – 2010). With news that there will be a Christmas special after 9 years, I just had to quote arguably the show’s funniest star.

    • More than any other sitromcom, it really does have to be watched properly. You really get the charm of the characters when toi watch the episodes in order. There’s only 20 episodes btw.

    • I think you’d enjoy it. It captures that warmth, eccentricity, humour and drama that happens when two very different families (and friends) are brought together through a marriage.

    • For sure. It’s very British and very funny. No surprise its international equivalents never really took off. The Christmas special has been a long time in waiting.
