John Reid: So, tell me. What makes Queen any different from all of the other wannabe rockstars I meet?
Freddie Mercury: Tell you what it is, Mr. Reid. Now we’re four misfits who don’t belong together, we’re playing for the other misfits. They’re the outcasts, right at the back of the room. We’re pretty sure they don’t belong either. We belong to them.
Aiden Gillen and Rami Malek in Bohemian Rhapsody (2018), the film biopic that tells of Freddie Mercury and his connection with the band Queen.
Have not seen the movie yet – but cool quote
It’s a celebration of Freddie Mercury and how wonderful the music he made with Queen was. It tells of the struggles behind the scenes, but it’s such a joy when you see them bring the music to life.
thanks – 🙂
I’m looking forward to this film!
You won’t be able to stop listening to Queen when you finish. Which is your favourite song of theirs?
Bohemian Rapsody but a close second [don’t laugh] is Fat Bottomed Girls …. it’s just so much fun!
It’s a very funny song. I can’t think of any other band writing it.
I’ve been promising myself to see this film soon , looking forward to it,
You’ll find out a lot about the man behind the genius. No one other than Freddie Mercury could have written Bohemian Rhapsody. And the scenes when they show big hits coming to life are a joy, as are the scenes on stage.
I’ve heard that’s it wonderful.
I just watched the movie. Loved it. I did not know his story. But enjoyed his music. Gone to soon.
A very sad loss. Even up until the end he was producing wonderful music. Such a legacy.
The whole story was amazing. He knew right from the start what he wanted and went for it.
Indeed. And he needed that inner resolve to achieve it.
The oscar is well earned! Great movie
Indeed. He played it perfectly. The film wouldn’t have worked without it.
💯 👍
Definitely need to see this film. Now I will make sure I do! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
“Are you ready? Hey, are you ready for this?
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat?” 😊
It was such a great movie that came out recently, I didn’t realize all the great songs they made until I watched it!
And you’ll recognise tonnes of the ones they left out too. What a repertoire! They were so prolific.
