Nothing stands still, except in our memory.
As said in Tom’s Midnight Garden (1958), the much-loved children’s fantasy book written by Philippa Pearce that I just finished reading. Thanks to my sister who got it for me for Christmas.

My favourite ever childhood book. Hope you enjoyed getting lost in it!
I think I’m still lost in it. It does pack a punch.
☺
Nice one
It’s a lovely cover too.
What a lovely gift! 💖
I want to read more children’s books. And more books in general. I have a few more before the end of the year.
The hidden lessons in children’s stories are amazing. I don’t have children of my own but I should spend some time with friends’ kids!
That ounds good too. I do recommend the book. It’s always ranked one of the best ever children’s stories. Indeed for the prize it won, it was later voted second best in the 70 year history of the compeitition.
That’s quite the accolade! I will definitely check it out!
My brother’s name. If it were a youtube video he’d probably watch it!
It’s a lovely book. You did a great post on his wedding.
Such a haunting yet beautiful line it is. People go,and come and your life may burst into thousand colours of ire but your memory can drag you into abyss of dejection.
Wonderfully phrased. Please continue to write 😊
ofcourse,Alex.
