Gr8at: Funniest Oscar Wilde Quotes

Oscar Wilde needs no introduction, of course. The Irish writer was quite simply, one of the funniest people to have ever lived. One of the all-time great wits. Below are eight of my favourites quotes. How many do you recognise? Do you have a favourite?

I always pass on good advice. It is the only thing to do with it. It is never of any use to oneself.

She is a peacock in everything but beauty

Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go.

True friends stab you in the front.

Hear no evil, speak no evil, and you’ll never be invited to a party.

  1. Ah. I love Oscar Wilde! He is so quotable. This is a great selection. โ€œAnyone who lives within their means, lacks imagination,โ€ is one of my favorites. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

  2. I like ’em all!! ๐Ÿ˜Š
By the way, Alex, as you know am hosting a Blogathon, and I guess you are too busy to do a long post. But if you like, you can either enter this post, or better still, do another blog-post, within the next 11 days, like this, with just some good quotes, of somebody you admire born in October (preferably a film personality). I shall happily accept.
    Thanks!!

  3. Nice selection of quotes. Some of these are, of course, on a morbid humour side. I may be in the minority, but I like the quote “There is only one thing in life worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about”. I just find it witty.
