Line(s) of the Day #PaintItBlack

1966-paint-it-black-7s-sa

I see a line of cars and they’re all painted black
With flowers and my love both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
Like a newborn baby, it just happens every day

Taken from Paint it Black from The Rolling Stones’ studio album Aftermath (1966). A huge number one on both sides of the Atlantic, it’s still a favourite on their live tours, once I was able to see on Friday. Expect a post on it soon.

    • It’s wonderful. I’ve been listening to them a lot more the last few weeks. They were incredible live. This was great, though my favourite bit was when they went from Sympathy for the Devil to Miss You. 10 + minutes of perfection!

      • I love it!
Every Wednesday a bunch of musicians gets together under my apartment and jam just for the love of it. They play a lot of Rolling Stones. I’m so lucky!
Have you read “Life” by Keith Richards? fantastic!

      • A true rock’n’roll survivor!
There is a bar up the street from me. It’s called The Stones Place. It’s filled with pics and memorabilia from the Stones. All they play is Stones music. The Stones know about it and have been there. There are even pics of Keith with the owner in the window.
Many famous might say “cease & desist” but not the Stones. They area class act!
