Running for 10 years, Winter Wonderland is a delightful way to celebrate the magical splendour of Christmas. Starting from 7 December, it takes over Hyde Park with attractions including food and toy stalls, rollercoasters and rides, ice statues and an ice rink and ferris wheel.
The food and toy stalls are packed, but there are so many of each you won’t have to worry about waiting long. They aren’t the only things that will grab your attention. The 80m high Winter Wonder View Tower gives a 360 view of London. You can’t pre-book it, so you’ll need tokens bought on the day. The Giant Observation Wheel can be bought in advance, though there is a long queue unless you get a Fast Track Update.
Unsurprisingly, there’s loads of families and couples. Though the crowds are big, it’s all good-natured and everyone is in a good mood. There’s Christmas music played everywhere too, so you really do get into the festive spirit. There’s plenty of rides to choose from too, including rollercoasters and a haunted house. Each ride has its own token value.
I’ll be doing a Gr8at of the Magical Kingdom too, but had to add some here too. It’s one of the most popular attractions so you need to buy in advance. The tickets are actually time-based, so you’ll need to select the time you’ll be going. For sure it’s cold, but it does add to the Winter magic. You’ll be looking out for Anna, Elsa and Olaf. There really is plenty to do in Winter Wonderland. You’ll find pricing and opening hours on the official website here.
I looove Winter Wonderland! I went there two years ago, i had so much fun (even though i was a bit sick)
Too many rides or too much food? π Winter does get really cold in London. I can never find my woolly hat.
Look like fun. You captured it well
That’s very kind. Thank you.
Youβre welcome. Kindness is my middle name. Last name Nice. First name Fine. Ha
Fantastic shots! π
Thanks. I really wanted to show everyone how minx fun it is there and how much there is to do. And don’t go there hungry haha.
Hahaha! Looks great! π
Great captures, very festive!
Thanks. You really do feel the Christmas spirit there. And it really is family friendly.
Captivating, Alex. This destination just made it to my list.
I take that as a big compliment. Yid love it. Would you go for the food, fast rides, ferris wheel or ice statues first?
As you should. I believe I would love it! Fast rides first. Then ice statues to rest a little and take in their beauty. After a feast for the eyes, my stomach is going to get hungry. Also, going to need a warm beverage, for the ferris wheel – which I will be with the man that I hope would accompany me. How does that plan sound? Do you approve of the order in which I’d like to do everything in?
Well the fast food should definitely go after the fast rides haha. It is a good plan. I hope your guy accompanies you too π
No fast food, Alex! lol we’ll see which guy that will be at the time. I don’t have one, at the moment. π
Only a matter of time I’m sure.
So cool!
Thanks. A really fun place. It has a bit of everything. Even a santa.

Great shots, but the ice rink is always fully booked there if you arrive without any prior tickets, especially over the weekend, so I prefer to go to the Natural History Museum one, even though they allege they have the biggest ice rink in London. Yes, this is the only thing I care about lol
Somerset House has a nice one too. And they always have great exhibitions.
I have never heard about this winter wonderland, because my country is winter wonderland.
Have a great day
That’s great!
