You can’t play God without being acquainted with the devil.
Dr Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins) in the multi-genre hit show Westworld (2016 -). With elements of sci-fi, western, drama and psychological thriller, it tells of a Wild West style theme park filled with droids but controlled by humans.
I haven’t seen this remake but I’m tempted to think I’d prefer the original. What are your thoughts?
I haven’t seen any of the original but this one was certainly complicated. You really do have to concentrate as it does get weird at times. There isn’t so much about character but shocks and surprises at every turn.
Interesting. Much the same, from what I can remember. I don’t think your film education is complete unless you watch the original! It’s a bit of a cult.
Thanks for the tip!
When I get time, I want to check this show out. The cast alone intrigues me.
For sure. The cast is superb. Also, Christopher Nolan’s brother is involved as a writer and director. It has a fantastic premise.
Well that is some serious talent there.
I loved westworld. So good!
Anthony Hopkins is incredible. The scenes with him and the Borgen lady Sidse Babbitt were among my favourites. The bit where he admits he had been spying on her and has al the power is my favourite.
And the scene where you find out that his one right hand man is actually a host…*mind explosion*
I know! I can’t imagine anyone saw that coming. So many shocks throughout, but that was the biggest. It feels like Jurassic World. You’d be fascinated to go there but you know it would be tricky to last long ha.
