It’s a tradition here that whenever I meet up with any of my blog readers I dedicate a quiz to them, like I have with Film Grimoire and Archaeology and Abbi Obiston with South Africa. I can now add to that list a new theme with the super wonderful and super friendly Tosha. You won’t find anyone nicer. And it will be hard to find a sweeter voice too. The theme is due to watching one of the films below together and seeing her off at the airport. How many of them can you get?
1. (1930s)
2. (1980s)
3. (1980s)
4. (1980s)
5. (1990s)
6. (1990s)
7. (2000s)
8. (2000s)
9. (2000s)
10. (2000s)
11. (2000s)
12. (2010+)
Answers below

Alex, thanks 6 out of 12. My usual number. It was really fun getting to hang out with you. I’ll never forget your hospitality and kindness. It was cool watching “Last Chance Harvey” with you too. I got that one by the way. 😊 Thanks again for everything. Lots of wonderful memories
Your glass is always half full to me. I’m really glad you were able to make it.
Thanks. Me too
Percivus says hi too.
Tell hi back and give him a hug for me
I did surprisingly well on this one! Quite a lot of good/memorable film scenes are at the airport, yet in real life I haven’t seen anything that dramatic. 🙂
Well a lot of those runs while they go to catch the love of their life before they head off are sadly unrealistic. But that’s part of the romcom charm 🙂
I’m so glad you and Tosha had such a nice visit Alex!😊
If you go anywhere near South Carolina you must see her. She’s even nicer than you would think and you’d really enjoy her company.
Yikes only 5/12!
There really are more airport films than you might think.
9/12 missed garden state, last chance harvey, and shes outta my league
That’s a really high-class score Rob. I’ve seen all those three. It’s actually one of the rare quizzes I’ve seen all of them. Last Chance Harvey is wonderful for the acting. Emma Thompson is like Helena Bonham-Carter and Dame Judi Dench for me. Just lights up the screen. Shame Zach Braff’s movie career never took off. I wouldn’t bother with She’s Out of My League.
I got ten out of twelve; I didn’t know Garden State or Last Chance Harvey.
That’s a superb score. I’m especially impressed you got the last one. I didn’t think anyone would.
Well, I fully admit, I’ve seen some very stupid films in my time.
I think we all have ha.
7/12. That’s actually better than I thought I was going to do.
You’re full of pleasant surprises.
6/12 shocking but I’ve not seen half of them but will seek out Last Chance Harvey on your recommendation. Great quiz.
Thanks for stopping by. It’s a short time and really does make you think.
Only missed one, No. 10. I was like is that Last Chance Harvey and then I was like nah Last Chance Harvey had nothing to do with airport staff. Idiot! 🙂
There’s only really two scenes. One when Harvey ignores her as she is reading from a questionnaire and one when he goes to the airport to apologise for missing their date. Both scenes aren’t long but work well within the film.
Only four this time 😀
Very few aced this one. I like to mix things up. I’m having a think about which one to do next.
I enjoy them quite a lot! It is good to tease the mind to remember exactly where you saw something.
7/12
My best, yet!
That’s awesome 🙂
Interesting ! I could spot only four, lol.
Was a tough one
