Now I know what a fool I’ve been
But if you kissed me now I know you’d fool me again
Taken from the song Last Christmas by 80s pop band Wham, from their final studio album Music from the Edge of Heaven (1986). Kept off by the The Power of Love by Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Band Aid’s Do They Know it’s Christmas?, the much-loved song has regularly charted and been covered by a wide selection of artists, including Jimmy Eat World.
I’m sensing a theme. 😜
For sure. You should write a Christmas poem.
You first 😜
You know what. I think I will.
The proof is in the blog post. I look forward to seeing it posted here in the very near future. May the ghost of Christmas future be with you. Happy writing. ⛄️
This is my mum’s favourite Christmas song.
It’s a classic. I’ll do a best songs to miss out on the UK charts by one spot and that will be up there. Save a Prayer by Duran Duran, Torn by Natalie Imbruglia and Vienna by Ultravox come to mind too.
Oh that sounds like a fantastic idea for a post.
Thanks. The music Gr8ats are always fun to do.
I definitely sense that from your posts.
My BF and I were just saying the other day that the WHAM song is on the radio so much lately! Not that it’s a bad thing…
It is a classic. I’m not sure why there hasn’t been a good Christmas song for a while.
Just saw this now… weirdly prophetic and sad…
Really sad. 2016 was a rotten year for much loved entertainment talents.
One of the best Christmas songs! RIP George 😦
Hope you had a lovely Xmas Alex.

Last Christmas I gave you my heart but the very next day, you gave it away. This year to save me from tears, I’ll give it to someone special
