    • He’s one of those actors that is always worth seeing. With only the very odd exception he chooses his roles so well. Big is such a delightful film. And I still want that floor keyboard 🙂

    • There was an article which described him as America’s Dad, which covers it well. I knew you’d do well on this one. I really did consider putting Saving Private Ryan in. But wanted a quiz that covered his whole career and couldn’t fit them all in. He had such a strong 90s period.

      • I remember in the early 00s I was of the opinion he was overrated. I couldn’t stand him. I think it was Castaway that made me change my mind. Since then, he’s good at playing older gentleman. No real outstanding performances, but we’ve grown up with him around us and he’s safe to watch. He is comfortable. I agree with the Dad reference.

      • I’ve not seen it. Well spotted though 🙂 I’d forgotten that role. I bet the cinematography must have been astonishing. Conrad L Hall was so gifted. Can you see him playing a baddie in a film set in contemporary times?
