Miranda Priestly (Merryl Streep) and Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) in the biting comedy drama The Devil Wears Prada (2006). The film tells of an intern who goes to work as the co-assistant of a highly influential fashion magazine, with Priestly largely believed to be based on Anna Wintour.
I thought the devil wore “funky” t-shirts? Ha Great film and funny quote.
Meryl can do anything. Anne Hathaway and co are great too. I wonder if anyone got to keep the clothes.
Agreed. Terrific actresses
I love that movie. Meryl looks fabulous and the dialogue is wonderful!
It’s probably my favourite role of hers. And there’s so many to choose from. She just steals every scene. And some great clothes on screen.
Oh, yes, and I love her hair! And how bitchy she is!
And she speaks so quietly. Like a true movie villain ha.
Meryl is a great actress and a Lady! David Frankel’s film is a masterpiece. Good choice for the quote, Alex!
It was my favourite scene. It was no surprise that many people behind the scenes were involved in the Sex and the City TV show. Such great fashion.
Gotta love those catty one liners.
They were superb. “That is all” haha.
She played the queen bitch so well. Meryl Streep is so incredibly talented, never disappoints me.
No one else could have played it better.
I agree, Streep was on stellar form.
HAHAHAHAHAHHAH!!!! Omg MY FAV. Movie of the fashion world!!!!!! My fav. line (or paragraph) from that entire movie is this:
“A pile of… stuff…??!!” LOL
Ha. I’m curious how many belts you own. I don’t think this scene was in the original script either.
Ohhhhhh I have yet to even count them… Lol! Was it not in the original transcript? Crazy…!
Yeah, Meryl Streep fought for the scene to be in.
Love this film ha ha 🙂
A guilty pleasure of mine too. A superb title too.
