Paths of Glory is extremely powerful. This line summed it up for mehttps://alexraphael.wordpress.com/2014/06/06/lines-of-the-day-pathsofglory/
The Shawshank Redemption connected with so many of us. So inspiring.
🙂
13 out of 15, Alex! Another wonderful set of films.
That’s an impressive score Ann. I think you’re top dog at the moment. I guess we have similar tastes 🙂
Couple of my faves in there. Ferris is terrific, Reservoir Dogs is awesome, and Full Metal Jacket is intense. 😃
Who didn’t, or doesn’t, want to be Ferris Bueller?
Just 12 here. Thanks for the fun!
That’s still a great score 🙂
Film #11 is one of the funniest I have ever seen – I have watched it countless times 🙂
Totally. And there’s real heart too. That speech in the hotel when John Candy says “Go ahead. I’m an easy target…”
Hehe! Oh and the part when they are in bed together in the hotel and Steve Martin says, “Those aren’t pillows!” 😉
“I’ve never seen a man picked up by his tessticles before”
Prefointaine! Oh I can’t even…. What a story that is! Bravissimo!
You’ve seen it?!
Yes! Jared Leto! It’s been a long time since I saw it. I’m going to have to watch it again, soon. Thanks Alex for reminding me!
He was amazing in this. And My So-Called Life. I’ve seen plenty of sports films, but Prefontaine is right up there.
I agree!
Seven for me this time. Psycho would be my difficult choice; Reservoir Dogs put me off Tarantino for life
Is Psycho your favourite Hitchcock film then?
Yes – It made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck when we saw his mother. I was in my teens
13/15 – I haven’t seen Prefontaine and couldn’t remember that scene from Citizen Kane. Great group of films you have, here. I can count a number of these among my all-time faves, too.
Great minds (nods) ha. I really do recommend Prefontaine. A superb insight into an athlete. The Citizen Kane was as tricky as I could make it.
Didn’t get 3. Nice try to stump me with 13 but I knew it. 🙂 A great list of great films and a few I’m yet to see. 14/15.
Highest score so far. Don’t think anyone will beat it. Great stuff Lloyd 🙂 The picture for 13 has stumped a few for sure. It’s a pivotal scene in the film which was why I was tempted to include it.
13 out of 15! I love these quizzes!!
You certainly get great scores in them 🙂 You should do a list of your favourite films.
The Shawshank Redemption, awesome movie! 🙂
It really is 🙂
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is my all time from this list 🙂
Great shout. You might like this then 🙂 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5UvfnF4E-g
13/15 – missed psycho (which ive never seen) and Citizen Kane! u have some great faves here!
great job Alex!
That will be my next choice for you in next time’s Movie from the Hat. Quality film. Great score Rob. I should have a look on your site. You’ve probably reviewed most of them 🙂
Yep. Most of them. 😉 Psycho has been on my watch list for a while. hope to get to it before 3000 just to make u earn ur choice 😉 btw, did u see my tweet abt u?
Yay! 11out of 15! You have great taste in movies Alex!
Aw thanks. I’ve decided to reveal a little bit more about myself in the last few posts. I always thought we had plenty in common.
☺️🙋🏻
#10, 12 and 14 are on my list.
#13 is quite good, I think. But I watched it too late at night 🙂
Citizen Kane tired you out? It’s not a long film, but it a serious one I guess. It does make you think.
Got all 15! Do I get a free cookie?
How about double or quits with part 1? 😉

Hahah on it!
10…. a bit better!
We need to do a film swap! Mind you, I think you’ll do a lot better on the Marvel quiz.
