Are you a lucky little lady in the City of Light
Or just another lost angel?
Taken from the title track of The Doors’ sixth studio album LA Woman (The Doors). Formed in 1965, the LA band sold over 100 million records and continue to be seen as one of the greatest acts ever.
It’s a good one, Alex! I love the Doors.
I’d loved to have seen them live. To think how much Jim Morrison had achieved by 27. Any songs or albums stand out most for you?
LA WOMAN is my favorite. They had come into fruition as a group with a solidified sound and strong vocals by Jim.
True synchronicity. An exceptional band. LA Woman was superb. Not a bad debut album either.
I’m thankful my dad introduced me to The Doors.
They’re incredible. One of the bands I’d love to have seen live. Just timeless.
I reckon they would have been outstanding live.
Yeah. And what a frontman too. Along with The Beatles, they’d be the band I’d most want to have seen live.
If only there was a time machine.
I’d see them both. And made a Back to the Future 2 style bet by putting a bucketload of cash on Leicester to have won the Premier League at 50,000 – 1.
Haha, I’d do that bet too. They truly deserved to win, what a fairy tale season.
Alex—Good post. If it’s OK, contributing my recent post on a Grateful Dead/Big Brother & the Holding Company/Quicksilver Messenger concert from the glorious days of 1967. I will have an interesting guest post on the Doors in about 3 days. 🙂

Ok. Will look out for it.
