Alan Harper: Charlie, when I moved in here, I said that is was vital that we create a wholesome atmosphere for Jake, and you said, “I understand”.
Charlie Harper: Alan, there’s something you should know about me. When I say “I understand”, it doesn’t mean I agree. It doesn’t mean I understand. It doesn’t even mean I’m listening to you.
Jon Cryer and Charlie Sheen with an example of the dynamic that was pivotal to the success ofΒ the sibling comedy Two and a Half Men (2003 – 2015). You can find another example of the wit from the show in my previous post here.
This show gave me lots of laughs. Some lines from it continue to pop up in everyday conversation!
Yeah it’s extremely quotable. So many sharp one liners. Bertha had some amazing lines too.
Yes…she was hilarious. Loved her.
She had Charlie wrapped around her finger even though he employed her haha. And the shrink Charlie used to see had fantastic lines too. Always loved her cameos.
Oh yeah.. Jane Lynch. She’s was perfect in that role.
I wonder if she hadn’t of joined Glee whether she would have been in more episodes.
Yes. I remember one time she was on as a child psychologist and they took Jake to see her. She had a cow puppet and asked him if he was in a bad mooooooood. Still use that one with my kids!
Ha! I’ve never been able to look at prune juice the same way either.
Haha! Yes. Oh… And I remember one time Jake microwaved peanut butter and offered “a glass of peanut butter” to one of the guys! Such a healthy breakfast!
Charlie and the rude bearded one have a lot in common. Wait. What? π
Happy Friday, friend.
Funny stuff.
Don’t ever lose your sarcastic side π
Don’t ever lose your ? Back when I think of an attribute of yours like. Oh snap π
It’s a good response when you’re not listening!
Sorry, did you say something? π
Haha! Love that Alex π
I saw this episode again not long ago! I love this show, the dialogue is so often hilarious π
It really is. Brilliantly sharp writing. Must be so funny to be in the writing room. Funnily enough, the same guy that came up with the idea for the show also helped create The Big Bang Theory.
