I’ll be seeing The Revenant this weekend, which as we all know prominently features Leonardo di Caprio, Tom Hardy and a rather aggressive bear. What a perfect time then to celebrate the funny, friendly and fierce brown and grizzly bears that have featured in Hollywood films. Are you a fan of them? How many can you work out?

1. The Jungle Book (1967)
2. The Edge (1997)
3. Anchorman (2004)
4. The Golden Compass (2007)
5. Ted (2012)
6. Paddington (2014)
I got 4, Alex. I hope you enjoy “The Revenant.” Even though I’m sure that’s a great film, I’m going to skip it. The weather around here is too much of a bear for me to bear such a cold and violent movie.
When the weather is so cold you do need to paws and think about whether a violent film is fur you beclaws it might not be a roarsome time to see it.
Brrrrr-illiant, grrrrrrreat Alex!
Before I start fishing for compliments I’d better cave in now 😉
Got ’em all! The Revenant is…. Brutal. 🙂
I knew you’d do well. No surprise you got them all 🙂 High 5!
I got them all right.
Impressive stuff as per usual. I thought The Edge might prove tricky.
That one was the most tricky but then I remembered watching it years ago.
David Mamet has quite a range for sure.
I got 4 (which is good for me!)
Must be my love for bears! Jungle book was a childhood favourite of mine.
Have a great weekend, Alex! 🙂
I bet you remember all the songs too 🙂 Cool score and have a fun weekend too.
The Golden Compass ❤ love bears 🙂
You sound like a care bear 🙂

I’m ashamed to admit this, but Ted’s my favorite. Enjoy Leo.
Ted was very funny. I haven’t seen the sequel. I’m a huge Leo fan. You’d probably ace my quiz if you took it 🙂
I just might. I love Leo too 🙂
I’m definitely curious!

I missed The Beach. I’ve never seen that one
I’ve read the book but was never curious to see it. Nice song by All Saints though 🙂
I’ll check it out, just to look at Leo.
4! I adored Paddington. Such a heartwarming, funny and cute film 🙂 And of course The Junglebook! I can’t wait for the live action version
He really was adorable 🙂 I hope the sequel won’t be disappointing. You would love the shop by the station. It has more little Paddingtons than you can imagine. I’m not sure about the marmalade jam. And yeah, will be interesting what they do with the updated Jungle Book.
I didn’t even know there was going to be a sequel! Yeah it hope will be just as fun as the first one. Oh I need to go there! 🙂
It’s about the same size as the Harry Potter one 🙂
4/6. Should’ve been 5, but I drew a blank on The Edge.
Yeah I think that one stumped quite a few.
I got them
All😊
You know your Hollywood bears! Awesome way to introduce yourself 🙂
Great way to meet you 😊
I can’t identify the Bears but let me know how you like the movie.
Will do 🙂
5/6! Love that bear scene from Anchorman!
It just had to go in there 🙂 I’m guessing it was The Edge that stumped you?
Yay 4/5! BEARS!!!
Would you rather have Paddington, Ted or Baloo as a pet?
Definitely Paddington.
Just keep him away from taps haha
Just the first
I hope you sang the Bear Necessities 🙂
I saw 1 and 5. Lovely movies 🙂
🙂 You’d probably like Paddington too.
Maybe. Now that you’ve told me I will look for it. Thanks, Alex 🙂
On your recommendation I saw Paddington. It was super. Thanks, Alex
I’m so flattered. I’m really happy 🙂
🙂
How did the movie go Alex?
I saw it tonight. It’s very slow in bits and the characters didn’t grab me much, but the acting, lighting, directing and music were incredible. I’m glad I saw it.
I’m planning to see it in the next few weeks.
I watched all but “The Edge.” My youngest daughter told me NOT to see the Revenant. She said it was too long and “Rough.” Let us know how you feel about it, Alex, please! 🙂
I saw it tonight. It’s very slow at times, but beautifully shot, wonderfully acted and the music is incredible. I expect it to clear up at the Oscars. Brutal stuff though.

5/6! Not too bad! I couldn’t pinpoint the name of The Edge but I knew what movie it was so it kinda counts 😉
Let’s say 5 and a half 🙂
