I wasn’t expecting any further posts to come out of my Songs to Lighten your Mood and Make you Smile but surprises certainly come in many forms. In the comments section at the bottom of the piece I was lightheartedly discussing with awesome blogger Table9Mutant ideas for random posts, and voila. This most definitely qualifies as random. Alexs in films are undoubtedly a mixed bag of genders, genres and nationalities. How many of the 12 do you think you can work out? Are there many memorable characters with your name on the big screen?

I got half a dozen Alexes, Alex!
That’s not bad. I don’t think anyone will even get double figures on this one.
7/12. Good stuff. I was feeling good after I got the first four right, lol.
Not a bad score at all. The first one is still probably the most famous. A very sinister example for sure.
Only 5 😁
No sad face of any kind needed. it’s not such a bad score on such a tough quiz. I can’t think of a famous film Amanda, so have a naff sounding Fawlty Towers type knock off http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084973/
Flash dance reminds me of going to the bars and dancing. 😀
Was your dancing as good as hers?
Nice idea. I was a total failure
One of the tougher ones for sure. A wide mix of heroes and villains.
I only got five Alexes!
I think that’s about average on this one. Two foreign language films, one animation, one musical and more than a fair share of provocative characters.
6/12. I need to get to know my Alexs better!
That sounds like a good moral for life too ha
Only 3…Haha!
Don’t feel so bad. Tough quiz Kim.
I recognized a few of these but really liked the kids movie and dancing film, Flashdance. Alex is funny in Madagascar! 🙂 I enjoyed In Good Company and Up in the Air. Great post, Alex!!
I really liked In good Company and Up in the Air too. Both very thought-provoking films.
I only got Madagascar, but then again that’s the only one on this list I’ve seen haha. I can’t think of any Michelle’s in films, though I’m sure there are a few out there
There are certainly a few famous Michelle actresses. A certain TV actress even has it as her middle name 🙂
Yeah I do know actresses! Sarah Michelle Gellar of course and Michelle Trachtenberg, but I can’t think of any fictional ones
I remembered Sarah Michelle Gellar and forgot Michelle Trachtenberg (smacks head)
Are there many memorable characters with my name in film???? Ummm!!! Nooooooooooooooooo!!!! 😦
P.S. I only guessed half.
You need to write one! The quizzes won’t always be this tough, promise 🙂
I’m here! Finally! Lol. Blogging is so hard on a stupid phone. 😉 I thought I did horriby but it looks like everyone struggled! I got all but three of them. So glad you included number 1 & 4 – they were the first two I thought of when you said you’d done an Alex quiz. 🙂 This was a good topic – made the movies really random! Great idea. 😉 Thanks for the mention & sorry it took me ages to swing by!
I was confident you’d get the highest score 🙂 Yeah, 1 and 4 are most famous. Alex seems to be a great movie villain name!
I’m pretty good at these quizzes! Ha! Alex IS a good villain name. You DO seem pretty evil, come to think of it… Mwahaha. 😉
