Marie: I don’t know what’s happened to that store. They used to give you free samples all the time. They even used to help carry your bags to the car.
Frank: Now I have to carry you to the car myself.
Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle in one of sitcom’s most memorable marriages, in the family themed comedy Everybody Loves Raymond (1996 – 2005). Four of the show’s five main stars won at least one acting Emmy, with the only omission being Peter Boyle who was unsuccessful with seven nominations.
I love this show! A classic.
It really did make me laugh. Do you feel more sorry for Debra or Robert?
I watched Raymond all the time and loved it!
Great to know you liked it. You should find these funny too 🙂

Yes those are great too! 🙂 I’d forgotten the second one!
I might well give Frank his own post. Nice to know there are so many of the show on here.
Oh you definitely should! Frank deserves it 🙂
Consider it done 🙂
That show was awesome!!
It was so funny. Which character made you laugh most? Frank’s one liners were so sharp I’d probably have to go with him.
Probably Raymond!! But all the characters had great lines, the script was well crafted.
The Ray and Robert and Ray are hilarious and really well written. For all their squabbles and rivalry, you know they couldn’t imagine life without the other. Everybody Loves Raymond has one of the best final episodes of anything I’ve ever seen. It really sums up the dynamics within the family.
Agree! I went as far as taping it to be able to watch it, and I am very selective with my screen time. It was a great show.
The ending is superb. One of my favourite episodes. Any other stand out for you?
great show. Boyle was the funniest!
A wonderful actor. So brilliant. He was in Taxi Driver but I remember him more in While you were Sleeping.
One of the best shows ever. I always thought Debra was so much like Audrey Meadows in the Jackie Gleason show as a long-suffering wife:0)) When Brad Garrett actually did a show performing as Jackie Gleason it seemed like the Jackie Gleason show must have been some inspiration in some way. Thanks for re-calling two great shows, Alex!
I’ve seen the odd bit of Brad Garrett’s stand up, and on the celebrity poker tour, but not as Jackie Gleason. Sounds like I’m missing out.
This sitcom is such a hoot and Raymond’s parents are absolutely hysterical!
Such an unlikely marriage but you can still believe it works.
Btw, I nominated you for Liebster 🙂 http://wp.me/pxXPC-a1x
Thank you so much 🙂

Baahhahahahh!!!!!!!!! Oh I love her!! I really miss this show, it had some pretty epic moments.
Do you remember when Frank drives his car into Ray’s house? Or when Marie writes to the FBI apologising about ruining the lucky suit?
great show Alex thanks for the reminder!
Great to see so many fans of the show on here 🙂
Frank is a legend!
He’s the only one who can keep Marie in line haha.
Peter Boyle was my favorite actor in that show. I think John Lennon was Peter Boyle’s best man at his wedding.
Now that is a piece of trivia!
😆 I can still hear her voice in my head 😀
Their interplay was one of my favourite parts of the show haha.
