Sometimes it’s easy to lose yourself with someone who’s already lost.
Patty Chase (Bess Armstrong) in the incredible drama ‘My So-Called Life’ (1994-1995). Cancelled after just one series, despite a strong petition by fans, it remains one of TV’s most thought-provoking shows.
Never heard of it, but sounds worth checking out.
It really was wonderful. Astonishing quality. There was only one series. So sad they never made more.
I used to love this show!
Has there ever been a better show about teenage school years? I can’t believe they only made one series!
I remember it as if it had been yesterday š
A timeless classic show. So glad you got the chance to see it.
One of my favorite lines I always mention ever since noticing it just a couple of years ago is when Patty is dancing in the hallway with the girls and says “I know I’m now allowed to sing. I’m now allowed to dance…Amish Mom” SO funny. I never picked up on some of the parental humor until more recently.
I just can’t believe how well the show is written. I’d love to watch it as a parent of a teenager and see it from a completely different side.
