It’s really a book you have to read by your late twenties really, when you have less responsibility and more dreams. I read it a while back and even ended up in San Francisco and visiting the Beat Museum. How awesome would it be to found a writing movement?

And, in that case, I won’t run out to read it now. I’m too old. 🙂
You aren’t most people ha. It’s just whether you can get into that mindset. The characters would probably seem a lot more selfish if you read it as an adult with responsibilities.
Oh. I certainly remember that mindset. Sometimes I even still suffer from it. 🙂

I was tempted, yes. Still haven’t got round to seeing it though! A film version of a book I have loved always makes me nervous. Have you seen it?

It sure has quite a legacy. I’ve only read it once but really enjoyed it. Around the time I read The Diceman, The Beach, The Wasp Factory and American Psycho. College days haha.
