With the Besançon-born Lumière brothers so prominent in the early days of filmmaking, it is no surprise just one quiz wasn’t going to be enough for our Gallic counterparts. Over the decades, and especially recently, there have been some great ones. How will you do in Part 2 of the French films quiz? If you missed it, here is Part 1.
Answers below
1. Belle de Jour (1967)
2. Le Dîner de Cons (1998) – Dinner of Fools / The Dinner Game
3. Le Closet (2001)
4. Irréversible (2002)
5. La Môme (2007) – La Vie en Rose
6. Persepolis (2007)
I got 2! 😀 Yay!
🙂
I got all of them! Love a bit of French film.
Superb. What did you think of Irreversible?
Totally confronting and horrible but at the same time quite genius in terms of its structure and visual elements. That description sounds like any Gaspar Noe film though!
It was unsettling for sure. Very clever structure though.
All but 4 and 6 which I did not see 😀
Very nice score 🙂
I only got 3 for this one.
It was tricky. I really do want to see Persepolis.
Oh no! I only recognized the two most recent ones! Typical of my generation, I think.
I missed them all. So. You still did better than me.
It was a tough quiz. I’ll be doing plenty of other ones don’t worry 🙂
I believe this is the first time I have ever gone 0/6.
Maybe I should have never looked at this one. 🙂
Aww don’t say that 😦 I’ve just done one on plays, but want to do one on John Grisham films and William H Macy. I should do one on your favourite actor or director 🙂
Macy could be fun. Ditto that for John Grisham. The trick with doing one on my favorite anything is that I’d actually have to identify a favorite. 🙂
Thanks to you I at least knew the second one! Hahahaha.
That’s the nicest thing I’ve heard all day 🙂 And thanks again for your really awesome review.
Any time, my friend! I look forward to whatever series you choose next! 😀
