Did you notice any of the Peanuts statues when you were in the Twin Cities?
No…where are they?
Oh. They’re all over. When Schultz died, someone (I wasn’t quite living here yet, so I don’t know whom), commissioned statues of the characters, to commemorate his life. This Facebook page
https://www.facebook.com/peanutscharactersculptures
tells me there were more than 500 such statues created from 2000 to 2004. Now some stores (and a few private residents) have purchased them for display, but more of the statues live in and around parks, where they were originally unveiled. I would guess the majority of them are in St. Paul, but there are more than a few in Minneapolis, as well, I think.
