Thanks 🙂 I could easily have chosen that line too, but the idea of idea dissolving to nothing if you want it to has always lingered for me so had to choose it.
Indeed they are. “Relax” was also number one the day I was born. ;D
/old.
I’m waaay too embarrassed to tell you what mine was. A very bad song alas.
You MUST tell me now! 😀
Karma Chameleon. we’ll speak now more of it 😦
Haha! I love that song.
Can we swap? 😉
Hmmm. On second thought, I think I’ll keep Relax. 😀
This song brings back memories, although it’s funny how time can play tricks. I remembered “The Power of Love” as Christmas number one, but I’ve just realised it was knocked off the top spot by Band Aid.
Great post, my favourite lyrics from this song are ” I’ll protect you from the hooded claw/ keep the vampires from your door”.

Great. WTTP was my first CD!!!
Nice choice! My first single was Shaggy’s Oh Carolina, but I think that my first album was some boyband at the time.
LOVE this album.
It really was a great first album. They sort of came like a firework. Their first 3 number one singles are still played all the time though.

It was a competitive year though. Wham’s Last Christmas didn’t even get to number 1
Such an amazing song.
What other Christmas songs do you like?
I’m not a massive Christmas songs fan to be fair. I do like Yule Shoot Your Eye Out by Fall Out Boy though.
Hadn’t heard it before. Thanks for the heads up 🙂
