I’ve done two quizzes on film set in New York (part 1 part 2) so it’s only fair to do one for one of the city’s most famous natives. Stanley Kubrick is truly one of the most admired, acclaimed and visionary directors to ever have stood behind the camera. See how many of the films below you can get.
Answers below
1. The Killing (1956)
2. Paths of Glory (1957)
3. Lolita (1962)
4. A Clockwork Orange (1971)
5. Barry Lyndon (1975)
6. Full Metal Jacket (1987)
1 and 2 I have not seen but should have by now, the rest I got though 🙂
The second film really is one of the great war films. A very powerful anti-war sentiment with astonishingly good performances. The first one is good and worth a watch, though I preferred The Asphalt Jungle which I saw at a similar time. I always thought The Killing was a strange title too.
I might watch both this weekend, its supposed to snow so that would be a perfect time to watch them!
Yep. And take pics!
Have seen none of these, but should
They’re all excellent. As a heads up, A Clockwork Orange isn’t a family film!
