The world is filled with all kinds of beauty. No excuses then, for not sharing with you all some photographs of places I have been lucky enough to visit. This time its Stockholm which I visited last year.
One of the most startling things about Stockholm is just how spacious the city is. There are rarely any crowds and it’s really easy to walk down the streets.
The air is magnificent, and a joy to the senses. The views are wonderful, especially as Stockholm has so many lovely lakes. In places like Drottningholm Palace and the National Historical Museum you really appreciate how much history Stockholm has, especially as there are so many museums to see.
The Millesgården is the home of artists Carl and Olga Milles, which features Carl’s most famous sculptures. Though the day was pretty cloudy, the statues are very striking.
The Vasa Museum features the only preserved 17th century ship in the world, with 95% of the ship still original. Inside the ship is pitch black and would have been crowded and smelt badly. Not the best menu either.
The Skansen Open-Air Museum is the oldest open museum in the world and features among other things a small zoo and a sense of tradition. You see how a lot of the old-fashioned furniture is made and it is like stepping back in time.
Looks really great! Would love to visit someday 🙂
Really worth a visit 🙂
You have such an amazing country, but as long as the alcohol policy doesn’t change we don’t wanna see it! 😉

My Grandparents were from Sweden, would love to visit someday. Great pics!!
It’s expensive, but extremely cultured. The air is as clean as you will ever experience, and there are so many great museums to visit.
